Come organizzare un viaggio in vespa - Vespa Trip

Spirito di adattamento, avventura e organizzazione sono i tre concetti chiave per un viaggio On The Road.

Noi già dopo la prima esperienza abbiamo imparato a migliorarci...
Abbiamo capito che era fondamentale ficcare tutto in un solo zaino, che due magliette in fondo bastavano e che il Passo dello Stelvio forse era una scelta un po’ troppo azzardata in vespa! :P

Ability to adapt, adventure and organization are the three key concepts for an On The Road travel.

We learned how to improve already after the first experience. We understood that is was fundamental to put everything on a single rucksack, that two t-shirts were enough and that the Stelvio Pass was too much for our Vespa! :P

In un viaggio del genere la pianificazione è necessaria. Scegliere l’itinerario sarà la cosa che vi porterà via più tempo. Affinché questo viaggio sia stimolante sarà bene pensare a dei luoghi che rispecchino i vostri gusti e la vostra personalità. Una volta scelta la meta principale, fate ruotare l’intero itinerario attorno ad essa.

Le nostre mete principali negli ultimi viaggi, per esempio, sono state: il Lago di Garda, l’Aquila e le 5 Terre.

For a travel like that the planning is necessary. The things that will require you more time will be the choice of the route. In order to have an exciting journey it is preferable to choose places which reflects your tastes and your personality. Once you have chosen the main destination, you will have to construct the whole trip around it.

For example, our last main destinations were: Garda Lake, L’Aquila and the “5 Terre”.

Con il nostro 125 abbiamo preferito non superare mai i 250 km al giorno e i 2.000 mt. di dislivello.

Anche in un viaggio di avventura bisogna saper riconoscere i limiti del mezzo a disposizione, non eccedere e non sfidare troppo la fortuna.

Ci vuole la giusta dose di avventura e attenzione insomma. : )

Because of our 125 cc, we avoided to do in a single day more than 250 km and 2000 mt of difference in height. In fact, also on an adventure trip it is good to know the limits of your vehicle, to avoid excesses and challenge your luck.

In short, you need the right amount of attention and adventure. J

Per la pianificazione noi usiamo ViaMichelin (anche Google maps va benissimo), in questo modo potrete avere facilmente sott’occhio i kilometri e il tempo di percorrenza. Potrete inoltre scegliere tra l’itinerario più economico, quello più panoramico e il più veloce.

We use ViaMichelin to plan each stop (but also Google maps is fine), and in this way you can check the distance to cover and the travel time. You can also choose among the most economic route, the fastest or the prettiest.

Ovviamente una volta partiti, conviene portarsi dietro una mappa ben dettagliata.

No al navigatore o a qualsiasi altro aggeggio elettronico che non farà altro che incidere sulla poesia di questo viaggio On The Road. Il nostro metodo preferito rimane sempre il chiedereachiunque… Anche perché la gente del posto potrà darvi i consigli migliori.

Obviously, once the travel is started, it is good to use a detailed map.

It is better not to use a navigator or other electronic devices, because they will certainly ruin the magic of this On The Road travel. Our preferred method is always the asktowhoeveryoumeet… you will hear some good ones!! Also because the locals can give you the best advices.

Un altro aspetto da tenere in considerazione riguarda le giornate migliori in cui partire. Noi abbiamo cercato di evitare i giorni di maggiore traffico e di far coincidere alcuni soggiorni con sagre di paese o feste locali (mangerete e berrete a poco in allegria!)

Another thing to be considered is which days are the best to travel. We tried to avoid the days with a lot of traffic and also to make some stays coincide with festivals and feasts (you will drink and eat in joy with a little spending!).
